Speaker DeLeo to Meet with Local Business Owners

Part of Statewide Listening Tour to Improve Economy

BOSTON - House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo (D-Winthrop) is pleased to announce that he will meet with the Waltham West Suburban Chamber of Commerce, the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce, and the Watertown-Belmont Chamber of Commerce, and members of the local business community to discuss economic recovery and job creation in Massachusetts.  The event is the first in a series of meetings scheduled to take place across the Commonwealth as part of DeLeo's statewide listening tour to formulate ideas aimed at strengthening the Massachusetts economy.

"If I were to focus my agenda on one word right now it would jobs - jobs, jobs, jobs," DeLeo said. "In times like these, I know how important it is to go straight to the people and get their thougts on how we can get folks in Massachusetts back to work."

"I'm honored to host Speaker DeLeo in Waltham as he begins his economic listenign tour, " said State Representative Peter Koutoujian (D-Waltham). "My district is comprised of a diverse business community who looks forward to providing input on what state government can do to help them create more jobs."

The meeting will take place from 12:00pm until 1:30pm on Friday, January 29th at teh Chateau Restaurant in Waltham, located at 195 School St.
